The Effect of Homeschooling Through Children

            Education is very important for every people. People thread education with different ways based on what they want. In fact, there are 3 kinds of education. They are informal, formal and non-formal education. Informal education is education that doing outside of school. In formal education is done by family especially by parent. The type of informal education is home schooling. According to Yuliawati “homeschoooling is education service process that consciously, systematically and directly which is done by family or parent. Then, the teaching learning process occurs in conducive situation. Generally, homeschooling has positive and negative effect toward children. Overall, homeschooling have more negative effect. There are 2 negative effects of homeschooling toward children.

           
The first effect is the children will be difficult to interact with their friends. The children who study in homeschooling will be individualist and introvert children. They just study at home without friends. Homeschooling makes children can’t socialize with their environment especially with their friends. However, interaction is very important in developing their self. Implicitly, will feel the greatest because just them at homeschooling. The children who study in homeschooling are tied their socialize by their parent. Then, the children will live under social interaction. In deed, homeschooling will effect toward children’s ability in socialize and interaction.

            The next effect is children can’t compete with others. The children can’t compete because there is no one rival to compete. Then, the children always feel in right and great through what they have reached. The result the children don’t know how well their ability than others. Meanwhile, children are not trained to compete. The children just are teached to build their cognitive. It will be effect while children have adult. When they are getting a job, they will be difficult to compete with their work colleagues. In brief, home schooling don’t have chance to compete with colleagues. As a result, they will leave behind because they don’t able to compete in working.

            In conclusion, home schooling also have negative and positive effect. The negative effect such as difficult in interact and socialize with their friends and environment. Then, children are difficult to compete with them. As a parent should give good education to the, so they probably can be better person in future.
